In an effort to populate the space, and create an avenue into the production and the team itself, Viral Visions will be rolling out a weekly series! Each Wednesday, we will introduce one member of the team, starting this week with our Producer, Jonas Albert!
Jonas Albert is a Senior in DePaul's Game Development program, with a focus in Game Design. His main focus is Producing Strategerms, however, Jonas has taken on design duties as well, including character, level, and gameplay design. Jonas has worked on many projects throughout his career at DePaul, such as "Damn These Tiny Arms!", "Safety in Embers", and several untitled game jam projects. When he's not working on game projects, Jonas spends his time reading, gaming, and if he can muster the will to exercise, ultimate frisbee.

10,000 Foot Idea
Strategerms
What is it?
Strategerms is an RTS style game, which places the player as Commander-In-Chief of the next great plague! Manage your resources correctly to lead your army of germs to victory over a small laboratory, and eventually the entire planet! Using strategic planning, intuition, and cunning, players will face off in a variety of arenas against a plethora of pathogenic opponents. May the best germ win!
Goals:
Strategerms attempts to blend the biological world with the RTS genre. Controlling small organisms is a natural part of RTS style games, and it felt only natural to take that to the next literal level. The game will provide a wide array of different scenarios of which the player will have to always be thinking one step ahead.
Inspiration:
The game is largely inspired from other successful RTS style games that have existed in the past.
